Night driving is more difficult because the distance you can see is reduced.
Your headLights cover about 350 feet ahead
Driving within the range means that you should be travelling at a speed which would allow you stop safely with in that distance.
HeadLights should be turned on at least one-half hour before sunset and one-half hour after sunrise. and whenever you are using your windhield wipers to clear rain or snow
Highbeams cannot be used within 500 feet of an approaching vehicle or 200 feet of a vehicle ahead of you.
If a driver is approaching you with highbeams on, turn your eyes to the right and use the road edge as a guide until the driver passes.
Lowbeams are best in fog the highbeams will reflect off the fog and guess what, you can't see a thing.
If your windshield glass is dirty you'll know it at night, it increases the glare from approaching vehicles..Keep your windshield and headLights clean.
