ROAD TEST TIPS

 

During the Driving Test

Your examiner will note the following: 

   How you start your vehicle.
     Do you turn your head and look back 
     Do you signal and wait until it is safe? 
     next 
Control of Vehicle
     Gas pedal, brake, steering wheel and other controls 
     next 
     Driving in traffic
     Lane usage, signals, turning of head before pulling away from curbs or making lane changes. Proper signal distance before turning. ANIMATION 

  Merging
     On and off freeway. ANIMATION
Traffic signs
     How you obey them and how you drive through intersections, how you yield the right-of-way. 
     ANIMATION 
Steering
     Turning from the proper lane to the proper lane. Was turn too wide or sharp. 
     ANIMAITON
  Stopping
     Stop Smoothly and at the right spot. 
Backing
     In a straight line, looking over your right shoulder, with complete control of the vehicle. ANIMATION
Speed control
     Not just the posted speed limit, but did you adjust due to road conditions, weather, pedestrians, visible
distance ahead.  ANIMATION
Distance judging
     Your distance from other cars and pedestrians, when following, or passing.  STUDY
      Courteousy
     Do you respect the rights of others 
Arm Signals
     You will be asked to demonstrate the arm signals, however use the turn signal Lights during the test. 

  Hill Parking
     You will be asked to demonstrate or explain hill parking.

Three Point Turn

     You will be asked to demonstrate or explain a three point turn.
